California Riverside Mission

Man it feels like my p-day was just a couple days ago…. oh wait IT WAS!!!

Not much has changed in the couple days I have been away from email, haha. We did go to the Temple, which was awesome!! We are only allowed to go to the Redlands Temple every 6 months because it is outside of our mission (even though its like 15 minutes away from us). So yeah, it was a pretty big deal that we finally got to go. It was just Sister Diamond and I, and the wonderful member that drove us. I wouldn’t have it any other way though. Let me just tell you, the Redlands Temple is BEAUTIFUL. I was in awe. For a girl that has only been to the Columbus and Provo Temples, it was quite the step up. That said, the Temple is exactly what i needed right now.  It was so nice to just relax and be at peace for a couple of hours.  Life as a missionary is much more stressful than I thought, that is for sure. But now, I am refreshed and recharged and ready to go!! I tried to get pictures but we were in a hurry haha. We were late as usual and running on a super tight schedule. But it is okay.  God provided a way for us to make it everywhere we needed to go on time.  Life of a sister missionary.

I feel like this week, everyone has been starting school which is so weird to think about. My mission isn’t just a summer thing now, I am in it for the long haul and I am so ready. I didn’t realize that the start of school meant even more California traffic though. Just when we thought it couldn’t get worse, it did 🙂  Driving just gets harder and harder haha. Today I accidentally drove us out of our mission boundaries.  We had to call the vehile coordinator real fast before we got in trouble for escaping haha.  All is well!

Hmm what else is there even to say?

I’m almost done with the Book of Mormon so that is awesome!! I have been pushing through that book trying to finish as fast as I can. I feel like I understand it so much better now. It is truly incredible.  Whatever question I may have at the time, I feel like I always get the answers I need fromthe Spirit. I know that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. There is no doubt about it.  I encourage everyone to read it.  Even if you do not understand it,  just try it.  It isn’t so much about what you comprehend about everything as much as what you FEEL when you read it.  I absolutely love it.  It is my favorite book by a long shot.  Seriously, just give it a try. READ IT!!  Even if it is just for 5 or 10 minutes a day, it will bless your life more than you could ever imagine.

I hope everyone is having a great week. Good luck to anyone starting school.  I love you guys!!
